On the official forum for Star Wars: The Old Republic, developer Bioware has confirmed that it is targeting a spring 2011 release for its Star Wars MMO, The Old Republic. After an off and and on relationship with both World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online for the past several years, I have high hopes that The Old Republic might bring me back into the MMO fold. If Bioware is able to incorporate something close to the level of storytelling and customization that it achieved in Mass Effect or Dragon’s Age in an MMO setting, my 2011 might already be consumed.
