Final Fantasy XIII on 3 Discs for the Xbox 360

As reported by ign.com, the site VG247 has reported that Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy XIII will ship on 3 DVDs for the Xbox 360.  As expected, Square Enix indicated that the PS3 version will only consume one bluray disc.  Although tempted by the achievement points, I’m probably going to buy the PS3 version.  Square Enix’s history of developing its core Final Fantasy titles for Sony systems and the much later announcement that the title would be coming to the 360 indicate that the title was initially developed for the PS3.  Therefore, the 360 version is more likely to have technical glitches from porting it over.  We’ve seen the reverse issue for games developed primarily for the 360 that were then ported to the PS3 (e.g. Bayonetta).
