Even More Mass Effect 2 DLC Announced for April 6th

Bioware has announced a new character, Kasumi Goto, to be included in new DLC for Mass Effect 2.  As with the Zaeed DLC, it appears that there will be a loyalty mission to complete with Kasumi.  Bioware’s description of her indicates that in exchange for assisting Commander Shepard in saving mankind, “she requires help with a dangerous heist to infiltrate the vault of a deadly criminal known as Donovan Hook.”  IGN’s report from GDC 2010 indicates that the DLC must be purchased, unlike the free content that has been made available or announced so far, and will last about an hour and a half.  I thought that Zaeed’s DLC loyalty mission was better than most of the ones in the main game, so let’s hope that the Kasumi DLC matches that quality, especially since we’ll be paying for it this time.

Update: Bioware has announced that the Kasumi – Stolen Memories DLC will be available on April 6th and that it will cost 560 Microsoft points on the Xbox 360 version and 560 Bioware points on the PC.   That’s only a few weeks away!  Although the price, approximately $7, seems slightly steep for a few hours of play when the regular game easily has 60 hours of content.  The content does include a new, playable character, so it could seem worth it depending on how kick ass Kasumi is.  My inkling is that she’d have to be pretty amazing or the content will have to be pretty action-packed to make it seem like a bargain.
